A girl we spoke with at the Panda Center told us this was a small temple. Well, she have visited some really huge temples, because this was by no means a small temple.

This is an active temple and about 200 Buddhist monks live and worship here. The temple was originally built in the 7th century, but the majority of buildings that exist today were built during the Qing Dynasty. A large scale restoration project was undertaken in the 1980's.

We stopped here on the way back from Sanxingdui.
