This is a strange kind of place. Wuhouci is a combination of memorial temples, a tomb and a museum.

There is a earth mound tomb here for a King named Liu Bei, who was the King of Shu during the Three Kingdoms Period (220 CE-280 CE). There is also a memorial temple here for Zhuge Liang, Liu Bei's prime minister.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms is a famous classic of Chinese literature that gives a somewhat romanticized version of the events that took place in real history.

The museum aspect of Wuhouci looks at the history of the period and has many statues of the key political and military figures of the time.
