Wangjiang Tower was built during the Qing Dynasty as a memorial to Xue Tao, a famous female poet from the Tang Dynasty. The tower sits along the bank of the Jin River and was popular among poets of the time to watch the river, get drunk and write poetry.

A bamboo festival was being held at the park when we visited the park. Bamboo grows all over Sichuan. The pandas and the ball and cylinder in this piece were all made from bamboo.
