Leshan is a small city on a mountain. It's claim to fame is the world's largest Buddha (Da Fo in Chinese). Leshan is a big park that is also home to several temples, some small Han Dynasty cave tombs, a large stone pagoda and other Buddhist attractions.

As you enter the park you come to the inscription shown here. This is the character for Buddha, and it is pronounced FO (this is pinyin, it should sound kind of like fwha with a rising tone, like when you rise at the end of a question).

It's nice park, but unfortunately it rained during most of our visit.
