Beihai Park is a 175 acre park that served as an imperial garden during the Liao, Jin, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. The park has a perimeter area that surrounds a large lake. In the southeast section of the lake is Jade Flower Island.

This is a shot of the Tibetan-style White Dagoba (stupa) at the center of Jade Flower Island. Stupas are buddhist structures that can be seen in most asian countries influenced by Buddhism. This stupa was built in 1731 and is the second to be built on this site.
